The remaining family of a 21-year-old gangster from Gurugram who was member of the Rajesh Bharti gang, and killed along with the gang leader and two accomplices in a gunfight with Delhi Police on Saturday, has finally agreed to accept his body, police said.

Umesh Yadav alias Don, a resident of Bhangrola village near Manesar, who was killed along Rajesh Bharti, Sanjeet Vidrohi and Viresh Rana, has no surviving males in his family.

"Don is only survived by his mother and grandmother. His father committed suicide in his childhood. His uncle also committed suicide a few years back and his grandfather died last year," a senior police officer told IANS.

"No one was ready to identify his body as no male was alive in the family. Anyhow, his kin on Monday identified him and his body will arrive here on Tuesday after postmortem examination," he said.

Detailing the earlier record of Yadav, who had a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, the officer said he was one of the four bike-borne men who attacked liquor trader Manish Gujjar, brother of jailed gangster Binder Gujjar, here on October 18, 2016.

"Yadav also opened fired at a man in Badha village near sector 85 here on July 14, 2017 for abusing his maternal cousin. Cases of robbery, loot and under the Arms Act were also registered against him in Gurugram police stations," the officer said.
