Rome, July 27 (IANS/AKI) A man shot dead his 33-year-old son during an argument near the southern Italian port city of Brindisi, police said on Wednesday.
Antonio Di Cataldo went to his father Cosimo's home in Latiano in the province of Brindisi late on Tuesday and asked him for money, local daily La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno said, citing investigators.
A row broke out between the two men during which Cosimo Di Cataldo allegedly shot his son six times with a revolver.
Di Cataldo Snr immediately called police in a state of shock and was arrested at the scene of the killing. Di Cataldo and his son had frequent arguments over money.
