Haryanvi singer and rapper Fazilpuria says he is in talks with American rapper Pitbull for a new single, which will have a Haryanvi as well as Spanish touch.
Fazilpuria, whose real name is Rahul Yadav, also shared that he is close to locking the deal with the Grammy Award-winning artiste. But there are some location as well as lyrics hiccups that they are working on.
"You will very soon see me with Pitbull...maybe next year. We have already talked it out. We just need to finalise locations. There are some issues with lyrics as they want some other theme and we want some other theme," Fazilpuria said during a visit to the IANS headquarter here on Monday.
And it will be a party number only.
Fazilpuria, who has come out with a new single "Jimmy Choo" with debutante singer Priyanka Goyat, is excited about the international collaboration. He says he wants to get the "Timber" hitmaker to Haryana and shoot the song in the north Indian state.
"We are trying that he comes to India and shoots. We want to show that a guy from Haryana got an international artiste to Haryana for shoot. Let's see what gets finalised," he said.
The rapper asserts that distance is also a reason for the delay. He said: "They are comfortable with the US, or are willing to come to Dubai."
Fazilpuria has been in talks with the international artiste, who also collaborated with Indian actress Priyanka Chopra for "Exotic", for the last nine months.
"We are in talks with him since April 9. After watching video of my song 'Party by Fazilpuria' - which was shot at a budget of Rs 1 crore with 550 foreign models - an event management company based out of Netherlands approached us with a list of international artistes for the collaboration," he said.
He added that there were names like Tyga, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne, but he was comfortable with Pitbull.
Talking about the song in question, Fazilpuria shared that he will be seen doing a rap in Haryanvi, while Pitbull will rap in Spanish.
For Fazilpuria, 2017 seems to be a packed year. Other than a song with Pitbull, there are other international projects as well as Bollywood projects in the pipeline.
