BJP President Amit Shah on Wednesday described actor and journalist Cho Ramaswamy as a fearless critic whose impartial assessment of political issues will be missed.
Ramaswamy breathed his last in Chennai on Wednesday.
Shah said Cho was greatly admired by Bharatiya Janata Party leaders such as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L.K. Advani and Narendra Modi.
"It was the BJP-led government of Vajpayee that nominated distinguished Cho Ramaswamy to the Rajya Sabha from 1999 to 2005," Shah said.
"He was a brilliant political commentator, a renowned theatre personality, script writer, eminent lawyer and editor of Thuglak magazine," he said.
