FIFA has moved to allay fears that the Club World Cup could be shifted from Morocco due to the Ebola epidemic.
The Zurich-based organisation said it has received assurances from health authorities that the deadly virus was not present in the African nation, reports Xinhua.
"According to the World Health Organization (WHO) there are currently no cases of Ebola reported from Morocco and therefore all preparations continue as planned," FIFA said in a statement.
"FIFA is monitoring the situation and is in close contact with the Moroccan authorities and constantly updating its position in accordance with WHO technical guidance. Should the situation change we will be in touch with the participating clubs accordingly."
The current Ebola outbreak has killed nearly 5,000 people, almost all in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
The Club World Cup, featuring the champions of each of FIFA's six regional confederations, is scheduled to be played in the cities of Rabat and Marrakesh Dec 10-20.
