Fight to save soul of the struggle: Yogendra Yadav

AAP leader Yogendra Yadav said he and Prashant Bhushan were fighting to "save the soul of the struggle" that gave birth to the Aam Aadmi Party

AAP leader Yogendra Yadav on Friday said he along with fellow leader Prashant Bhushan were fighting to "save the soul of the struggle" that gave birth to the Aam Aadmi Party.

At a press conference in New Delhi, Yadav said: "It (AAP) is not an ordinary party, it was born out of a revolution to clean the system, end corruption and give power to the common people. People have high hopes from this party."

"But the developments in the last one month have disappointed many. We are fighting to save the soul of the struggle that gave birth to this party."

Yadav and Bhushan have come under criticism from other party leaders who accuse the duo of undermining the party.  In their defence, the two leaders have maintained that their actions have been aimed at increasing intra-party democracy, as well as ensuring that AAP does not become like other political parties.
