Three FIRs have been filed against former Karnataka chief ministers B.S. Yeddyurappa and H.D. Kumaraswamy in connection with an illegal land denotification case, officials said here on Saturday.
The FIRs are a result of RTI activist Jayakumar Hiremath's complaint in 2012 to Lokayukta based on CAG report on denotification of land by government and allotment of sites by the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA).
The case was transferred to Criminal Investigation Department for preliminary investigation which highlighted illegal land denotifications between 2007 and 2012 in its report submitted recently.
The Comptroller and Auditor General report mentioned 40 illegal denotifications in its report.
Kumaraswamy and Yeddyurappa have been named as accused number one and two in the case as per RTI documents.
