'Fitoor' cast to flaunt Tarun Tahiliani's new line on ramp

Actors Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor, the lead pair of forthcoming film "Fitoor", will walk the runway here wearing creations from designer Tarun Tahiliani's spring-summer 2016 line. Inspired by the nomadic beauty of the Kutch desert tribes, the show will be held here on Saturday.

Scheduled to take place at DLF Emporio here, the show will witness the "Fitoor" cast members playing the 'perfect muse' to the handcrafted collection, read a statement.

The collection is a burst of colour ranging from ombres of blues, reds, pinks and yellows; shifting to pastels, whites and ivories; and exploring hues in a monochromatic spectrum.

Draping and layering are re-interpreted in a flurry of crinkled fabrics and chevron patterns in multi-hues in styles that go from starkly modern dresses, shirts, dhoti pants and concept saris to lehengas and kurtas which exude contemporary fashion against a backdrop of traditional silhouettes.

There will be handlooms merged with digital prints and garments in light crinkled fabrics with embellished necklines and georgette kurtas with attached drapes.

Also, there will be a range from TT DIY (Tarun Tahiliani Do it Yourself), a line that is made for mix-and-match - tops, tunics, pants and skirts.
