At least five people were killed on Saturday in a landslide in Bangladesh's Bandarban district, a media report said.
The dead were identified as Rozina Akhter, 30, Sazzad Hossain, 5, Md. Sagor, 14, Amena Begum, 32, and Md Arafat, 18, the DailyStar reported.
The landslide took place when chunks of earth of a rain-soaked hill fell on five houses in Lama Haspatal area around 1.30 a.m.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and recovered the dead bodies and the injured people from the spot, Lama municipality mayor Md. Amir Hossain said.
In 2012, 35 people were killed in a landslide in the same area.
