Five landmines, IEDs seized in Jharkhand
Five landmines and some IED bombs were recovered from two districts of Jharkhand on Saturday, police said.
According to police, four landmines each weighing 30 kg were recovered from Tubnaid river in latehar district.
The landmines were found during anti-Maoist operations in Latehar district, around 130 km from Ranchi.
Police recovered one 10 kg landmine from Chatra district. Maoists plant landmines and IED bombs to target security personnel and are active in 18 of the 24 districts of the state.
