Five new faces to walk at LFW Summer/Resort 2017 runway

The Summer-Resort season of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) will see five new faces -- Anjali Lama, Divya Jadhav, Aishwarya Sheoran, Sandra Suely and Tetiana -- fulfilling their dream of walking on the fashion runway.

LFW held their model auditions for the forthcoming auditions to be held from from February 1-5 in partnership with TRESemme at The St. Regis, Mumbai on Wednesday.

The panel of judges -- comprising show director Anu Ahuja; Daniel Bauer, Official Hair Expert, TRESemme; Jaspreet Chandok, Head of Fashion, IMG Reliance; Pooja Hegde, model and actress; and Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovations, Lakme -- chose five winners after three competitive rounds for the forthcoming season.

Anjali, Divya, Aishwarya, Sandra and Tetiana emerged as the winners.

"Many Lakme Fashion Week models have gone on to become the face of Lakme. Five new faces join us this season to showcase the new looks of the season on the Lakme Fashion Week runway," said Lamba.

Chandok added that "LFW has been a launchpad for many top talent with some now gracing international runways. I look forward to our selections today charting a fabulous career in the industry starting with the forthcoming edition",

LFW model auditions have previously introduced some of the best and successful names in the industry like Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.
