Five suspected terrorists were killed on Wednesday in a security operation in Pakistan's port city of Karachi.
Acting on a tip-off, the Sindh Rangers carried out the operation in Kaemari town's Tapo area, Dawn online reported.
According to a Rangers spokesperson, a resident informed the para-military force about the presence of suspected terrorists in the area.
As soon as Rangers' personnel reached the site, the terrorists opened fire and threw hand-grenades at them. The Rangers then retaliated.
Five suspected terrorists were killed and two Rangers personnel injured in the exchange of fire. Five hand-grenades were recovered from the killed men.
