Four-time Brazilian Serie A champions Fluminense have sacked coach Enderson Moreira after the team's 1-4 home loss to Palmeiras.
The result left the Rio de Janeiro outfit languishing at the bottom-half of the table with 34 points from 26 matches, reports Xinhua.
"It was our decision, not Enderson's," Fluminense president Peter Siemsen told reporters after the match at the Maracana stadium on Wednesday.
"We are already looking for a new coach. We are going to work hard to try to resolve the matter tomorrow."
Enderson led the team to 18 wins, six draws and 14 defeats during his time in charge.
He is the third manager to be dismissed by the club this season after Cristovao Borges and Ricardo Drubscky.
