Dense fog and chilly winds continued to affect normal life in Rajasthan Friday, officials said.
Fog prevailed across the state throughout the day and reduced visibility leading to disruption in rail and road traffic.
At least a dozen trains arrived late in Jaipur by an hour to four hours due to fog, an officer told IANS.
A Met officer said the minimum temperature was recorded at zero degree Celsius in Mount Abu, the only hill station in the state.
State capital Jaipur recorded a minimum temperature of 7.5 degrees Celsius while the lowest maximum temperature of the season was recorded at 16.1 degrees Celsius.
The Jaipur district administration announced holidays for students upto Class 5 till Jan 22.
"Though there has been improvement in the minimum temperature there was no respite from cold due to chilly winds and fog," the officer said.
