Former world champion Amantle Montsho has failed a doping test following her fourth finish at the women's 400m at the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014 July 29.
The A sample of Botswana's Montsho tested positive for banned stimulant methylhexaneamine, the organisers said Saturday. Her B sample will be tested Monday in London, reported Xinhua.
The 31-year-old Montsho won the title at the World Championships in Daegu in 2011 and also took the event at the Commonwealth Games at Delhi in 2010. Both golds were her country's first at a Commonwealth Games and World Championships respectively.
She also won silver at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow.
