Four persons have been arrested for vandalising several cars in a housing complex in south Kolkata on Sunday, police said.
Shakti Singh, 36, Rajesh Chawdhury, 40, Amritlal Yadav, 19 and Prakash Roy, 43, were arrested in the case reported from the Fort Oasis society, police said.
Locals alleged that a luxury car on Saturday night killed Abhijit Pandey, 22, who was riding a scooter and took shelter at the housing complex. In a protest against reckless driving, a mob vandalised cars parked in the complex.
Denying the allegations, dwellers of the housing complex voiced their security concerns.
Police said that further raids are on to apprehend the others responsible.
