Four Indian tennis players -- Nidhi Chilumulla, Prarthana Thombre, Bhuvna Kalva and Vaishnavi Peddy Reddy -- made it to the main draw of the $25,000 Aurangabad Open Women's ITF Championships here Sunday.
Nidhi outplayed Katharina Lehnert of Philippines 6-3, 6-2 while Prarthana put out fellow Indian Shweta Rana 6-3, 6-2. Vaishnavi, 17, scored a credible 6-4, 7-5 win over Keren Shlomo of Israel.
Kalva earned a 6-1, 6-3 win over Lee Pei Chi of Chinese Taipei to become the fourth Indian to make the main draw.
Britt Geukens of Belgium, Cristina Ene of Romania, Ching Wen Hsu of Chinese Taipei and Victoria Muntean of France also qualified for the main draw.
Magda Linette of Poland, ranked 129 in the world, has been given top billing while Ankita Raina is the lone Indian seed at No.5.
