At least four people were killed and over a dozen seriously injured when a tempo they were travelling in was hit by a train at a railway crossing in Bihar Monday, officials said.
Dehradun-bound Muzaffarpur-Rapti-Ganga Express hit the overcrowded tempo at Samera railway crossing in Motihari district, an official said.
Divisional railway manager (Samastipur) Arun Malik confirmed four deaths in the accident.
Officials, however, fear that the toll could go up.
According to reports reaching here, all the victims are from one family.
The top officials of railway and district administration have rushed to the accident site.
