Four Indian soldiers were injured Thursday in unprovoked shelling by the Pakistan Army on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
A police officer said the cross LoC firing at Indian positions occurred in Balnoi Sona Gali of Mendhar sector of Poonch.
"The Indian Army effectively retaliated the unprovoked shelling and firing from Pakistan," the officer said.
Pakistan has been violating the ceasefire since the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes against terror launch pads across the LoC on September 29.
