The Delhi government on Thursday announced that women would be provided free rides on buses run by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and cluster buses on the occasion of Bhai Dooj on Friday.
"Government will provide free rides for women passengers in all DTC and cluster non-AC buses on the occasion of Bhai Dooj tomorrow (Friday) between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.," a government official said.
"However, this service will not be available on air-conditioned and inter-state buses, which are destined to the towns beyond NCR," the official said.
The DTC will also run special buses for the India International Trade Fair, which will be held at Pragati Maidan from November 14 to November 27.
