The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has approved the enhanced cost for extension of Delhi Metro line from Dilshad Garden to the New Bus Stand here, an official said Friday.
GDA chairman Satosh Kumar Yadav said that on account of rise in cost of raw material due to delay in launch of the extension project, the cost has gone up from Rs.1,770 crore to Rs.2,210 crore.
Of the enhanced cost of Rs.440 crore, Rs.363 crore would be shared by the Uttar Pradesh government, Rs.5 crore by the central government and Rs.72 crore by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, he told reporters.
