Actor Gerard Butler has signed on to star in first-time director Mark Williams's "The Headhunter's Calling", which is a family drama set in the world of big money recruitment.
The Scottish actor will play a ruthless headhunter called Dane Jensen, who is set on taking over the company he works for when his young son falls ill and his priorities change, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
The film's script is written by Bill Dubuque ("The Judge" and "The Accountant"). Williams and Butler will also produce along with Alan Siegel. Dubuque and Danielle Robinson will serve as executive producers, along with Dan Bekerman of Scythia Films.
The film is in pre-production and will commence principal photography on October 26 in Toronto.
Butler will also be seen in "London Has Fallen" as well as Dean Devlin's "Geostorm" and Alex Proyas's "Gods of Egypt".
