President Ashraf Ghani on Monday demanded the Afghan militants based in Pakistan and those opposing peace talks be handed over to his government.

He said Afghanistan's message was specific and positive to Pakistan and those differentiating between good and bad terrorism should pay the price, Khaama Press reported.

Ghani said the neighbouring countries should respect the sovereignty of Afghanistan and do not allow the insurgent groups to use their soil.

Insisting on the current position of Afghanistan, Ghani warned that those not supporting Kabul will become isolated.

This comes as Ghani earlier said Pakistan continues to maintain distinction between good and bad terrorists.

The Afghan officials have long been criticising Pakistan to allow the militant groups, specifically the Afghan Taliban and the notorious Haqqani terrorist network to use its soil from where they plan and coordinate attacks in Afghanistan.

Both Taliban and Haqqani network are having leadership councils based in Quetta and Peshawar cities of Pakistan, according to Afghan officials.
