All government, private and public schools here will remain closed from January 20-22 due to the bitter cold, an official announcement said on Tuesday.
"In view of the bitter cold felt today (Tuesday), the public and private schools have been instructed to close their organisations for teaching the pupils," said Ghaziabad district magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma.
Students face a tough time in the morning chill while going to school. This may pose a health hazard, so with their well being in mind all private and government schools have been instructed to shut down till January 22, the official said.
The students would get relief for five days since the two days after this are Saturday and Sunday when schools are closed. "We shall evaluate the situation and would act accordingly," Sharma added.
