Indian squash players Saurav Ghosal and Anaka Alankamony won their respective matches to proceed to the next rounds at the 20th Commonwealth Games at the Scotstoun Campus Squash here Friday.
Ghosal won his men's singles Round of 16 to advance to the quarterfinals while Anaka came out on top in the women's plate Round of 32.
Ghosal was well on his way to the last eight, having bagged the first two games 11-2, 11-5 against against Steve Finitsis but the Australian came back strongly to win the next two games 11-4, 11-6 and level the match at 2-all.

Earlier, Anaka had an easy outing against Sri Lankan Naduni Gunawardane as she won 3-0 (11-3, 11-4, 11-5).
However, Joshana Chinappa had to bite the dust as she lost her women's singles Round of 16 match 1-3 to New Zealand's Joelle King.
