Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid's goalkeeper Keylor Navas has spoken with coach Rafael Benitez about his future at the football club after his proposed move to English giants Manchester United collapsed at the fag end of the transfer deadline that ended on August 31.
The Costa Rican goalkeeper, a star in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, spoke at length with Benitez before heading to the training camp on Tuesday, reports Efe.
Navas was negotiating his departure from Madrid since Monday night and even passed a medical examination at Manchester United but returned to Madrid on Tuesday morning after his deal fell through.
He spoke to Benitez after returning to Madrid and travelled to play for Costa Rica against Brazil in a friendly match in the United States on September 5.
Benitez expressed his full confidence in him for this season, his second at Real Madrid, and it seems he will remain at the club for atleast another season.
