Former Masters champion Charl Schwartzel of South Africa has decided not to compete at the upcoming Rio Olympic Games' golf event.

Schwartzel on Monday became the fourth Major champion deciding to skip the Olympics, reports Xinhua.

Last week, Schwartzel's fellow countryman Louis Oosthuizen canceled his Rio trip.

Adam Scott and Vijay Singh previously said they won't be playing.

Golf enters the Olympics in Rio for the first time since 1904.
