Producer Lagadapati Sridhar has acquired the Telugu remake rights of last year's Tamil blockbuster "Goli Soda", which was about four street urchins and their adventures for survival.
"I've bagged the remake rights of 'Goli Soda'. I thought it was an extremely good film with great content. Moreover, it succeeded purely on the merit of content and didn't require the presence of a star. The cast will be finalised soon," Sridhar told IANS.
Sridhar is not new to remakes. His forthcoming Telugu romantic-drama "Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini", which releases in cinemas on June 19, is the remake of Kannada film "Charminar".
Talking about "Krishnamma...", which is set against the backdrop of Krishna River, he said: "It'll be a story that'll be etched in the hearts of the audience".
The film stars Sudheer Babu and Nanditha in lead roles.
