The government on Wednesday said it has constituted an expert panel for the promotion, development and regulation of yoga and naturopathy.
Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani told the Lok Sabha that "the ministry of AYUSH has informed that a task force has been constituted by it with a mandate to deliberate and recommend the preferred option for promotion, development and regulation of yoga and naturopathy for education and practice".
She added that the task force would submit its report by September 30.
The ministry of AYUSH comprises Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy.
