GPF to carry 7.8 per cent interest
The General Provident Fund (GPF) and other similar funds will carry an interest rate of 7.8 per cent during 2017-18 with effect from October 1 to December 31 this year.
"The government has announced that during 2017-18, accumulations at the credit of subscribers to GPF and other similar funds shall carry interest at the rate of 7.8 per cent with effect from October 1 to December 31. This rate will be in force w.e.f. October 1," an official release said.
