Leading Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors on Monday announced the appointment of Guenter Butschek as CEO and managing director.
"Butschek's appointment comes at an opportune moment. He brings with him rich global experience of growing organizations and developing new markets," said Tata Motors chairman Cyrus P. Mistry in a statement.
Tata Motors said 55-year-old Butschek will lead all the company's operations in India and international markets while Jaguar Land Rover continues to be lead by CEO and director Ralf Speth.
Expected to join the company from February 15, Butschek earlier worked with Daimler AG and Beijing Benz Automotive. His last assignment was with aircraft manufacturer Airbus as COO.
