Tegucigalpa, March 9 (IANS/EFE) At least five people were killed and three others wounded when gunmen opened fire at a bar in Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa, a police spokesman said Sunday.
The shooting occurred in the capital's Torocagua district on Saturday.
Two people were shot dead inside the bar, two others on the street as they apparently tried to flee and a fifth person died while taking to hospital.
Several of the victims -- two women and three men -- were members of the same family, police said.
On an average of 16 people per day are murdered in Honduras, official figures show.
