Woman alleges gang rape in moving car in Ludhiana

Police here in Punjab on Sunday registered a case after a 21-year-old woman alleged that she was gang-raped by three youths in a moving car.

Police said the woman told them she was gang-raped by the youths late on Saturday night on the busy Ferozepur road in this industrial city, 120 km from Chandigarh.

The woman works in a leading hotel here and hails from Himachal Pradesh. She was admitted to the civil hospital here for treatment and medical examination.

The accused have not been identified so far.

"We received a complaint from the girl that she was gang-raped in a car. We are trying to identify the men," a police officer said.
