The government has appointed Mahesh Kumar Gupta as new Member (Engineering)and D.K.Gayen as new Member (Staff) of the Railway Board, an official release said on Thursday.
Gupta is an officer of Indian Railway Service of Engineers of 1979 batch and is a Bachelor in Engineering from University of Roorkee, while Gayen is an officer of Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) of 1981 batch, and is a Bachelor in Engineering in Mechanical Discipline from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology.
Both the officers will also be ex-officio Secretaries to the central government.
