A government official here on Wednesday said Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner (DC) T.L. Satyaprakash grabbed his collar, a charge denied by the senior official.

Acting on a complaint filed by Annu Yadav, chief of ruling BJP's women wing, and some other women, Satyaprakash ordered Section Officer Bhupinder Yadav to report in his office.

Annu Yadav and the women had visited the office of the District Education Officer (DEO) for some query.

"I have been visiting the DEO office for last three days, but concerned officials were never found on their seats. On Wednesday, when I asked about the diary dispatch clerk, Section Officer Bhupinder Yadav and other staff misbehaved with us and forced me to show my Identity Card," Annu Yadav told IANS.

Annu immediately reached Satyaprakash's office to complain about the incident.

Bhupinder Yadav told IANS: "I got the first call from the DC office at 11.46 a.m., the second one at 11.51 a.m. I was in DC office at 11.56 a.m.".

He insisted that the DC grabbed his collar.

"The DC was getting downstairs from his office on the first floor and he grabbed my collar saying why I was not in my seat," Yadav said.

Responding to the allegation, Satyaprakash told IANS: "My office called him thrice to report but he never responded. I went to the DEO office and found out that he was talking to some person regarding releasing of some vehicles. I did not grab his collar, and the allegations are totally false."

The DC said that the district administration will take strict action against irresponsible officers under the Zero Tolerance initiative to tackle corruption and inaction.

At the time of the incident, DEO Manoj Kaushik and District Elementary Education Office Prem Lata were not in their office on the fifth floor of the mini-secretariat.
