Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday said a medical college named after Mata Sheetla Devi will soon come up in Gurugram.
The Municipal Corporation Gurugram, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and the Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board have been entrusted with the task of getting the college constructed.
Khattar was speaking at 'Harit Gurugram-Ek Prayas 2017 Programme' organised here.
He said a suitable place would soon be identified for the proposed college. While 40 per cent each of the cost of the college would be borne by the Municipal Corporation and GMDA, the rest would be paid for by the Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board.
On the occasion, Khattar planted saplings in Saraswati Kunj in Sector 53, kicking off a drive by the 'Jalvayu Sanrakshan Samiti' to plant 10 lakh saplings.
He also laid the foundation stone for six development projects costing about Rs 15 crore.
Describing Gurugram as the industrial and economic city of the state, the Chief Minister said his government would leave no stone unturned to ensure its development.
