Working out at a public gym can be stressful, especially if fellow gym members practice unhealthy habits like talking on mobile phones and grunting while lifting weights.
A new survey from The Gym Group has revealed some of the most irritating habits at the gym.
Hogging gym equipment at a busy hour and not returning weights to their stacks can be a cause for irritation. Also, sometimes the equipment is dripping with sweat.
"Many people enter their own little world when they work out which sometimes means that, subconsciously, they lose all regard for the people around them," femalefirst.co.uk quoted John Treharne, CEO of the Gym Group, as saying.
"We hope that, through publicising the results of our survey, we will raise awareness of individual behaviours that annoy others and, as a result, encourage a change in these behaviours creating a more pleasant experience for gym users everywhere," he added.
