Formula One's world champion driver Lewis Hamilton narrowly got the better of his Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg in first practice at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Hamilton, at 1 minute 15.537 seconds, ended the session 0.101 seconds quicker than the German. Team Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel was third and team Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo fourth. Team-mate Max Verstappen was fifth while Daniil Kvyat was sixth for Toro Rosso.
Force India's Nico Hulkenberg was seventh just ahead of team-mate Sergio Perez.
Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen and Toro Rosso's Carlos Sainz completed the top ten.
