Hollywood actor Josh Hartnett is soon going to be a father.
A representative for the "Penny Dreadful" actor confirmed that Hartnett and his girlfriend Tamsin Egerton expected their first child. "It's true and they are beyond thrilled," reports pagesix.com.
Hartnett and Egerton have been dating for about three years after meeting in 2011 on the set of "The Lovers".
The couple was last spotted having quality time together in May during a trip to Prague.
Prior to Egerton, Hartnett had dated several actresses including Amanda Seyfried, Scarlett Johansson, Mischa Barton and Rihanna.
Earlier this year, the 36-year-old actor revealed in an interview with Playboy magazine that he was looking forward to having a baby.
"I have to get a car that's safe for my kid. I don't have a kid yet, but that's the idea coming into my head these day," he told the publication.
In the same interview, Hartnett also discussed his thought about dating co-stars.
"I think it's a respectable way of going about it. I've met very important people in my life doing films. Sometimes that had consequences that were just awful for everybody involved. Some were fantastic all the way through. Everybody makes mistakes dating people they work with," he said.
"They're whom I'm attracted to because I share experiences with them and understand a bit about what they are and what they do. If I were able to go back in time, I don't know if I could have done anything any different," he added.
