The Haryana government has asked the central government to notify the Faridabad-Ballabgarh-Palwal area as a brownfield electronics manufacturing cluster.

A Haryana government spokesman said Tuesday that once the proposal is accepted and the area is notified, it would mean a lot for development of the software industry and boosting employment.

The scheme provides for subsidy of 20 percent for investment in capital expenditure in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and 25 per cent in non-SEZs.
