Marquee Delhi Dynamos player Alessandro Del Piero says he has already seen some good young Indian players ready to give 100 percent during his stint in the Indian Super League.
"I have seen some really good players, who are prepared to listen and give their 100 percent in every training session. By the time the season ends, they will have a good opportunity to improve and raise their game to a higher level," said the former Italian international, who was part of the World Cup winning side in 2006.
Del Piero, who came in as a 37th minute substitute in his side's opening game against AFC Pune City, said he was not having problems in adjusting to the hot and humid Indian conditions after turning out for Sydney FC in Australia.
"I've played in Australia for two years with the entire season being played in summer with the temperature shooting up to 40 degrees. .. It's been very good, I have now spent more than four weeks in India.
"Yes, conditions are difficult here, but I have no problems in adjusting. The conditions are the same for all the players and the team with faster players will get more chances", he said on the eve of the Delhi Dynamos' outing against Atletico de Kolkata.
While ATK won both their games, DD drew against Pune City.
But Del Piero said his side would be no pushovers in the Sunday tie at the Salt Lake Stadium.
"Yes, it will be a tough game. Atletico are on a roll after winning both the games. But we are here to fight, and give off our best and win."
Del Piero, who is ranked second among Italians in the all time top scorers list (345 goals), said he was all keyed up aceto do everything".
"I'm okay now. I don't have any problems. I'm ready to do everything."
The 39 year old talismanic player, who captained renowned Serie A side Juventus FC for 11 years, did not gie a definite answer when asked whether he would be in the starting line up on the morrow.
"It is for the coach to decide," said the goal machine.
He said DD will try to find the perfect formula for reigning in ATK's marquee player Luis Garcia.
"We will try to find the right solution to stop him. That's my priority, my team's priority."
