The Delhi High Court on Friday reserved order on former TV serial producer Suhaib Ilyasi's plea challenging a trial court order which has convicted and sentenced him to life imprisonment for murdering his wife in 2000.
The trial court had delivered its verdict on December 20, 2017.
Ilyasi, also the Editor-in-Chief of Bureaucracy Today magazine, had faced the trial for 17 years in the dowry death case of his wife Anju Ilyasi.
Anju died on January 11, 2000 at her Mayur Vihar house. Charges were framed against Ilyasi after his sisters-in-law and mother-in-law alleged that he used to torture his wife for dowry.
Ilyasi had shot into limelight after hosting the reality TV show "India's Most Wanted".
