Amber Heard's presence has changed her new husband Johnny Depp's life, say a source.

"She is a free thinker. Her presence has changed his life," a source was quoted by people.com as saying.

Depp, 51, and Heard, 28, got engaged in 2012.

"Amber is a woman who can survive just fine without him. She is not needy. He likes that," said the source.
