Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was admitted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMCH) here after he suffered chest infection and ran fever, but his condition is stable now, a doctor said on Monday.

"All tests are normal. He has been kept in hospital just for observation and will be discharged in a day or two," the doctor added.

The Chief Minister was suffering from viral fever and hospitalised at the IGMCH early Sunday, Senior Medical Superintendent Ramesh Chand told IANS.

The Chief Minister complained of congestion and was facing breathing problem, Chand said.

Union Health Minister J.P. The Chief Minister has been unwell since his last week's tour of remote Dodra Kawar in Shimla district. He was complaining of infection in throat due to heavy dust, said an official.
