Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh Wednesday congratulated Vikas Thakur for winning silver in the 85 kg category in men's weight lifting in the Commonwealth Games.
The chief minister announced a reward of Rs.10 lakh to Thakur for winning the medal.
Virbhadra Singh announced incentives for all those players of the state who would win gold, silver and bronze medals in individual events during the Commonwealth Games.
A cash incentive of Rs.20 lakh, Rs.10 lakh and Rs.6 lakh would be given to the winners of gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively.
