For the second year running, Hindustan Powerprojects has been selected for the National Safety Council's award for safety and health practices at its Anuppur thermal plant in Madhya Pradesh, the company said Tuesday.
"The thermal arm of Hindustan Powerprojects (Hindustan Power) has been accorded the prestigious National Safety Council award towards implementing a very effective occupational safety and health practices in its Anuppur thermal plant," Hindustan Power said in a statement here.
The award, administered by the union labour ministry, is given to organizations for maintaining consistently high-level of occupational safety and health.
The Anuppur thermal power project is a 1,200 MW coal-based plant being developed in the Annupur district of Madhya Pradesh by the company formerly known as Moser Baer.
