The appeal of former Hong Kong Chief Secretary Rafael Hui Si-yan and three others against conviction for bribery was dismissed by the Court of Appeal on Tuesday.
The four people, including Rafael Hui, former co-chairman of Sun Hung Kai Properties Thomas Kwok, former executive director of Sun Hung Kai Properties Thomas Chan Kui-yuen, and former Hong Kong Stock Exchange official Francis Kwan Hung-sang, lost their appeal, Xinhua reported.
Hui was convicted of five counts of misconduct and corruption and sentenced to seven and a half years in prison in December 2014 for receiving tens of millions of HK dollars from Sun Hung Kai's senior personnel.
The other three were sentenced to five or six years in prison.
Kwok's son Adam Kwok Kai-fai said he was disappointed at the judgment and would lodge an appeal with the Court of Final Appeal.
