PMK leader S. Ramadoss on Thursday wondered how Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu would ensure confirmed rail seats by 2020 when no new trains were announced in the two rail budgets he had helmed so far.

In a statement issued here, Ramadoss said Prabhu did not announce any new trains in his rail budgets presented last year as well as on Thursday.

Ramadoss said there should be an increase of around 50 percent in trains running at present if what the minister is promising is to happen in reality.

However, he welcomed Prabhu's announcement on a rail line between Morappur and Dharmapuri with an outlay of Rs.134 crore.
