Actor Hugh Jackman has been roped in to play pirate Blackbeard for Warner Bros' upcoming project, tentatively titled "Pan". The producers are confident he will deliver an indelible performance.
"Hugh Jackman always delivers indelible performances that resonate with audiences. We know he will create a Blackbeard who will be a powerful presence in this original Peter Pan adventure," Greg Silverman, president of creative development and worldwide production at Warner Bros, said in a statement, reports aceshowbiz.com
Director Joe Wright will helm the project, which is yet to have an official title. It will hit theatres in the US July 17, next year.
