Brazil forward Hulk is set to join Chinese top-flight football club Shanghai SIPG on a four-year deal for a reportedly record transfer fee of 55 million euros ($60.9 million).
It was reported that the 29-year-old forward's move from Russian league side Zenit Saint Petersburg will beat the previous record of 50 million euros when another Brazilian star Alex Teixeira signed for Jiangsu Suning, reports Xinhua.
If Hulk passes the physical examination on Wednesday, he will formally join SIPG, the Chinese Super League (CSL) club said on its website.
Hulk has played 48 times for Brazil and scored 12 goals.
Suning recently bought 70 per cent of stake in Italian Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan.
